Chili



Chili

2 lbs ground beef
1 large chopped onion
1 green pepper chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbls dried ground cumin
1 tbls dried oregano
2 tbls chili powder
salt and pepper to taste
28 ounce large can of tomato puree
2 cans kidney beans, drained
2 cans (14 1/2 oz) beef broth
1 tbls molasses (optional)

Brown hamburger in a large pan, drain fat.
Add onions and green peppers, cook until soft
Add garlic, cook a few minutes.

Add tomato puree, kidney beans, cumin, oregano, chili powder, salt, pepper, beef broth and molasses to a large cooker or crock pot.

Add hamburger mixture. 

Cook in cooker for a couple of hours until flavors blend. 

Eat with cheddar cheese over the top and bread or crackers.
